Lily socks are covered in a summery swirling floral pattern. They are knitted top down, either with three colors or with toe, heel and rib in the same colour as the pattern. The pattern has two sets of diagrams so that you can choose between making socks with same or mirrored pattern.
The pattern has 1 size/stitch number and size is adjusted by using different gauge. Gauge is changed by using thicker/thinner yarn and/or needles.
The pattern has two alternatives for heel and toe. If desired, other heel and toe designs may also be used.
Suggested yarn: Sandnes Sisu/Drops Fabel/Viking Frøya/Gjestal Silja / Mayflower 1 class. Other fingering sockyarn can be used. Photographed socks are knitted with Mayflower 1 class sock yarn.
Yarn amount: Colour 1: 50 g, colour 2: 50 g, colour 3: 50 g. Another 50 grams of colour 2 and 3 yarn may be needed for shoe sizes over EU39(M) and EU38(L/XL). (If two colours are used: Colour 1:100 g, Colour 2 50 g.)
Suggested needles: Pattern is written using 5 double pointed needles size 2.5 mm and 5 double pointed needles size 2.75mm and gauge 32 sts in 10 cm. Different needle sizes may be needed for different gauge.
Sizes: 72 sts. Actual size is adjusted with gauge.
Gauge: 34 (32) 30 sts = 10 cm in stranded colourwork. Sample socks has 32 sts in 10 cm.
Measurements (circumference): 21,2 cm (22,5 cm) 24 cm.
For other sizes, adjust gauge.
