Skogstjerne (Forest star) sweater for children is a soft and cosy sweater with raglan yoke.
The pattern comes in sizes 2 to 10 years. Sizes are approximate. Use measurement of body to find right size. Sleeves and body can be made shorter or longer if needed.
To achieve desired gauge, it is recommended to knit a sample swatch. If the swatch has too many stitches in 10 cm, go up a needle size. If the swatch has too few stitches in 10 cm, go down a needle size.
Suggested yarn: DSA mini Sterk / Viking Alpaca liten storm / Rauma Finull / Drops Nord. Other yarn can be used. Choose yarn that gives the desired gauge. Suggested colours: It is recommended to use contrasting colours to make a clear pattern. Photographed sweaters are made with Dale Alpakka Forte. Colours on blue sweater: 701, 707, 708, green sweater: 701, 272, 731. Suggested needles: Circular needles size 2,5 and 3mm and double pointed needles size 2,5 and 3 mm. Different needle sizes may be needed if you don’t hit gauge using recommended needle size. Gauge: 26 = 10 cm in stranded colourwork with needle size 3 mm.
