South wind mittens

Sønnavind mittens are knitted in a traditional Norwegian design with selbu stars and will be a nice accessory to any autumn and winter outfit. Choose between ribbed or patterned cuffs

The pattern has a size that can be changed by adjusting the gauge.

Gauge is changed by using thicker or thinner yarn and needles.

Yarn suggestions: Sandnes Smart / Rauma 3 thread / Dale Lanolin wool / Rauma fine wool. Other yarns can be used. Choose yarn that gives the desired gauge.

Yarn amount with rib alt. 1 (2): Color 1: 100 (50)g. Color 2: 50 (50)g. Color 3: 0 (50)g.

Needle suggestion: 5 double pointed needles size 3 mm. Another needle size may be appropriate if the desired gauge is not achieved with the suggested needle size.

Gauge: 26m per 10 cm.

Sizes: One size. Can be adjusted.

Measurements in cm: Length of cuff with rib: 9 Length of rib with pattern: 7.5-8 , Across mitten blade: 11 Full length: 30 Thumb from base to tip: 7 .
