Turi hat

Turi is a cozy and warm winter hat with a classic Norwegian pattern, known from the Turi mittens. Knitted in a soft alpaca blend, it feels extra soft and comfortable to wear. Knit in your choice of colors for a personal winter accessory.

Sizes
56-59 (can be made for bigger or smaller sizes by for example using gauge 22 or 26 per 10 cm.

Gauge
23-24 sts = 10 cm in stranded colourwork.

To achieve the desired gauge, it is recommended to knit a sample swatch. If the swatch has too many stitches in 10 cm, go up a needle size. If the swatch has too few stitches in 10 cm, go down a needle size

Full length : approx. 24
Across when laid flat: approx. 27

For other sizes, adjust gauge.

Suggested yarn
DSA Sterk / Viking Alpaca Storm / Sandnes Alpakka / Dale Lanolin wool. Other yarn can be used. Choose yarn that gives desired gauge.

Yarn amount
Colour 1: 100g. (Actual yarn amount used for colour 1 is 50-55 g) Colour 2: 50 g. Colour 3: 50 g.

Suggested needles
Pattern is written using short circular needles size 3,5 mm. (If needed, 3 mm for the rib)
