Let the Tusse- sweater take you deep into fog-heavy Norwegian forests where elves and trolls hide. The sweater has sewn in sleeves and elements from traditional Norwegian knitting and is perfect together with Tusse- hat and socks.
The pattern comes in sizes 2 to 12 years. Sizes are approximate. Measure to find right size. Sleeves and body can be made shorter or longer if needed.
To achieve desired gauge, it is recommended to knit a sample swatch. If the swatch has too many stitches in 10 cm, go up a needle size. If the swatch has too few stitches in 10 cm, go down a needle size. Sizes can be made slightly bigger by f.ex. using gauge 26 cm per 10 cm.
Suggested yarn: Dale Alpakka Forte / Viking Alpaca liten storm / Rauma Finull / Drops Nord. Other yarn can be used. Choose yarn that gives the desired gauge. Suggested colours: It is recommended to use contrasting colours to make a clear pattern. Photographed sweaters are made with Dale Alpakka Forte(blue) and Viking Alpaca liten Storm(red). Colours on blue sweater: 701, 708, 709, red sweater: 702, 213, 750. Yarn amount is rounded up to next 50 grams where there was little or no margin in when test knitting. Suggested needles: Circular needles size 2,5 and 3mm and double pointed needles size 2,5 and 3 mm. Different needle sizes may be needed if you don’t hit gauge using recommended needle size. Gauge: 27 = 10 cm in stranded colourwork with needle size 3 mm.
