Keep your hands warm with hearts of wool! Warm and comfortable mittens with a traditional Norwegian design. The pattern is the same as on the Woolhearts socks.
The pattern has sizes for both children and adults, and the adult size can be knitted with a patterned cuff or with rib.
The size can be adjusted by changing the gauge.
Yarn suggestions: Sandnes Sisu / Gjestal Silja Sock / Drops Nord / DSA Mini Sterk. Other yarns can be used. Choose yarn that gives the desired gauge.
Yarn amount:Color 1: 50 (50) 100g. Color 2: 50 g for all sizes.
Needle suggestion: 5 double pointed needles size 2.5 mm. Another needle size may be appropriate if the desired gauge is not achieved with the suggested needle size.
Gauge: 32-33 sts per 10 cm.
Sizes: 3-4 years, 6-8 years, adult. Can be adjusted.
Measurements in cm: Length of cuff with rib: 6 (6) 7.5 Length of patterned cuff: 6 Across mitten blade: 8.5 (9.5) 10.5 Length minus cuff: 14.5 (18.5) 22.5 Thumb from base to tip: 4.5 (5.5) 6.5-7 . For other measurements, adjust the gauge.
